Surgery is carried out under general anaesthetic and usually involves a one-night stay in hospital. You are encouraged to wear a supportive sports bra for a minimum of six weeks afterwards and time off work varies from between one or two weeks, depending on the individual.
New, larger, firm breasts do have a positive effect on a patient's self-confidence and personality.
